Recently I obtained my green card in Washington and started my first medical marijuana grow from seed. This is my Nirvana seeds review. There were several reasons for choosing to grow from seed.
First, I am on disability and my budget simply does not allow me to purchase weed.
Secondly, I was a farmer and have about 20 years of horticultural experience growing specialty crops. I wanted to do a start to finish grow from seed and then be able to select my own mother plants for cloning.
Finally after much research I decided I wanted to try Nirvana Seeds Jock Horror and there were no clones available locally.
I spent a lot of time researching various seed companies online. If you have done this then you know there are plenty of scams and ripoffs out there. Even more confusing, one grower would say they had good luck with a company while another would say the same company had ripped them off.
I eventually decided that I had the best chance of receiving my seeds from Nirvana. Because their prices were low and they sold in lots of 5 seeds I figured I wouldn’t be out much if they didn’t arrive. Besides, after reading various grow journals Jock Horror was a variety I felt would be easy to grow, gave good yields and had a good upbeat heady buzz.
So I placed an order for 5 feminized Jock Horror seeds on Sept 28 which was on a weekend. They were shipped on Oct 3 and arrived here on Oct 13. The total cost with shipping, tax etc came to $54.34
I was very impressed with their stealth shipping. I wont disclose how or what they did to get them to me but for a moment I actually thought they forgot to include my beans in the package. They were there of course.
I immediately began soaking my seeds upon unpacking and within 24 hours all 5 had cracked and were showing a white rootlet. From there I placed them directly in small pots filled with Canna Coco. All the seeds had emerged within two days of receipt.
The seeds started growing like gangbusters although one seed had a very difficult time shedding its husk. It is stunted but I decided to try and nurse it back rather than cull it at this point. Other than that the crop appears very uniform and showing an Indica dominance. I will be keeping a journal of the grow.

Here is my Jock Horror at 30 days from seeding in gallon containers. I decided to cull the small one but now I have 4 awesome plants.
Nirvana Seeds Review – Final Verdict
I would not hesitate to recommend Nirvana Seeds to anyone looking to purchase seeds online. They have a good selection of autoflowering varieties and medical varieties and most are available as feminized seeds. Their prices are reasonable but more importantly Nirvana Seeds have proven themselves to be a reputable company to do business with.
Yes they do have good seeds and good prices. I really like Jock Horror too, it is some of the best smoke around but it is not Jack Herer. They are totally different plants. Jack Herer can get huge I have grown both and Sannies selection of Jack Herer is better smoke and yields way more. Won’t pay Sensi prices especially for regular seed.

I’ve had bad luck with nirvana seeds. Out of 5 northernlights auto, 2 grew.they exhibited 2 diffent phenotypes. I figured one of thier “award winning” strains would have more stable genetics. I dicided to try ice and purchased my seeds. I wanted to know more about the strain so I did some research only to find conflicting info. For example their “cannabis cup award” in 1998. Greenhouse won in 1998. …check it out http://www.cannabiscupwinners.com/cups-and-awards/high-times-cannabis-cup/cannabis-cup-1998.html .i was sold a product that was misrepresented. I presented them the facts and they responded with further lies. Told me “Ice won the 1998 cannabis cup and Sterling Haze won the 2015 Expogrow Cup. We unfortunately do not have the trophies here at the online department. They are kept at the Wholesale department in Spain as far as I can recall :(“. Realy? If they still make such a bold statement,what else are they lieing about? Be aware of Nirvana’s false advertising!
Please remember the article you read is several years old. I don’t buy seeds from Nirvana any more. In my opinion 2 of the best breeders are Sannies Seeds and Karma Genetics because they actually breed and not just pollen chuck.
Nirvana provides good seeds at a reasonable price but they are not the original genetics. For example Jock Horror is a take off on Jack Herer but definitely not close to the original. I have grown both by the way and it was very good but not the original.
There will always be genetic variation unless you are growing an IBL. Sannies Jack is very close to that after 9 or so generations.
What I can say about Nirvana is their prices are reasonable, stealth shipping was very good and they ship your seeds, germination rates are good, so they are not ripping anyone off, just misrepresenting the facts. There will always be hype and bullshit in the seed trade.
